A website versus print advertising

Let’s imagine you want a new website but have to apply the same advertising rules as in phone books or your local newspaper.

  • Firstly, your new website must contain the details of all of your local competitors.
  • Secondly, you can only have 30 words on your home page to tell your potential customers about your products or services.
  • Thirdly, you can only include one image on your home page and it can’t be bigger than an inch.
  • And lastly, your website will be restricted so only customers within 10 miles can visit it.

Would you willingly hand over your hard-earned marketing budget for such a website?
